Portballintrae as a community

"PORTBALLINTRAE is a village at risk of losing it's culture, identity, and its sense of community"

Throughout 2024 and into 2025 a number of surveys were carried out in the village. It was obvious from the findings that many residents feel that Portballintrae is declining in terms of community facilities and amenities and were offered an opportunity to have their say on how they thought the village could be improved.

From those meetings and surveys came the thinking that a community group was needed that would focus solely on improving the village as a single community, working with existing groups and associations, and statutory stakeholders.
